Pedestal Grinding Machine Safety Regulation

In order to grind all types of casting and other materials used in early modern factories, factories, and engineering workshops, the heavy duty pedestal grinding machine should be equipped with double ended heavy duty ball bearings pedestal grinders. It should also come with a suitable electric motor, push button starter, eye shields, adjustable tool rest, one set of grinding wheels, wheel guards, and a spanner.
Grinders are secure and utilize, but there are some precaution to handle it. Safety is more than just understanding a range of information and following a few rules. Safety is a cultural norm. In order for you and others to continue alive, you must both study it and live it.

Do
- Wheels should always be handled and stored carefully.
- Before mounting, make sure you visually check all the wheels for any potential damage.
- Do be sure to operate the machine's speed as per the wheel’s rating.
- Check that the mounting flanges are of equal size and proper diameter.
- Use mounting blowers if they come with wheels.
- Ensure the pedestal or floor stand grinder and tool rest are properly adjusted.
- Always use a safety guard that covers the grinding wheel.
- Let new wheels run at operational speed with guard in place for 1 minute before grinding.
- Always wear safety glasses or approved eye protection.
- Turn off coolant before stopping the wheel to avoid imbalance.
Don’t
- Avoid using dropped or damaged wheels.
- Don't force a wheel onto a machine or modify its hole—get the correct size.
- Never exceed the wheel's rated speed.
- Use only smooth, flat, and clean mounting flanges.
- Do not overtighten the mounting nut.
- Do not grind on the side of traditional (Type 1) wheels.
- Do not start the machine without a securely installed safety guard.
- Do not jam work against the wheel.
- Never stand directly in front of a running wheel.
- Grind only what the wheel is rated for.
